Introducing the Ghent Garden Club….

In partnership with the Ghent Neighborhood League and the Fred Heutte Center, we’re happy to announce the Ghent Garden Club.

The first meeting is Sunday May 26th at 4PM and will be the fourth Sunday at four moving forward, always at the Heutte Center.

We're starting a Community Garden Club for folks who love to garden, love to be outdoors and want to learn more about gardening with an emphasis on Small Space Gardens. We are looking for like minded people with which to pursue these interests!

The Ghent Garden Club is open to any person who wants to join. Membership is free to Ghent Neighborhood League Members and $25 per year for non-GNL members.

The club will feature educational speakers from Norfolk's Plant societies and gardening orgs as well as guest speakers from farther afield. We will also host workshops where we learn how to make creative enhancements for our garden spaces like hypertufa planters, garden mosaics, wet and dry terrariums and plant ornaments.

We are actively pursuing sustainable beautification grants through the city and state to responsibly enhance our beloved Ghent green spaces.
